Very simple.

Simply change .sidebar { display:none; } to #sidebar { display:none; } - the # specifies id's where the former is for classes.

    Ah, okay. You must be altering the wrong stylesheet. It looks as though http://nathandeakinequine.com/wp-content/themes/author/style.min.css?ver=4.1.1 is the one you'll need to take a look at. If you need any additional help, feel free to accept my entry and we'll take it from there.

    If you'd like a more complex solution which actually removes the HTM from the page, then I can help you do just that. But if you need a quick-fix, the one I've noted in this post should be sufficient.
