I am looking to have a logo made, so I can, in turn, use that logo on a business card as well as a few other promotional items. The catch is, it needs to be very unique, and artistic, while being minimal, clean, and professional looking. I am looking for someone who can incorporate what I do, and the "feel" into the logo somehow.

I need my logo to convey a specific vibe or feel. So, the best way to help you understand what I need, I feel, is to just describe what I do, and the image that I am trying to shoot for. More importnatly. the image I am trying to AVOID.

I am a magician. Whatever pre-concived notions you have of magicians, forget it. I don't deal with scarfs, top hats, rabbits. Nothing Stereotypical. Nor do I perform magic for kids. I strictly perform for well dressed, upscale, adults, high-end restaurants, hotels, banquets, and company conventions. So I need to make sure my card does not convey any type of feel that gets a response "You're a magician? Great! my 5-year-old is having a little birthday party with her friends, maybe you can do your little tricks for them" That's not me, or my image.

I am as close to a real mind reader as you can get, a mentalist, I wear a very nice looking suit when I work, I can read minds, I can control people, I can get into their head, I can predict the outcome of situations, I use psychology in my effects. But I am not so serious when I do it. I am a guy people want to hang out with because they know that we could go have a few drinks and I could show them an amazing time. Im the guy they want at their party because I am Fun to be around, classy, professional, the magic and mentalism that I do is TOP NOTCH. If anything, its as real as real magic can get. Im also young enough to have a "cool" factor. With the "in-crowd" and up to date with current fashion.

All that was in hopes to give you an overall feel. I am not a designer, so I can't tell you exactly what I am looking for, but I will attach examples along with some details written below.

I love logos that combine two letters to make a cool Monogram out of the company or persons initials. My two letters would be "DC". (See attached files for examples I like"

Aside from the lettering, I like how some designs incorporate what the person does into the actual design of the logo. For example, lets say there is an eye-care doctor, and their card is The company names Initials, made into a monogram, but in the shape of an eye ball, or in the shape of glasses. So the logo shows what they do, and has their initials

I also uploaded a few business cards that I like so you have an idea of what I am going to be doing with the logo, the style of the card I am going to use it for, etc

I also added two pictures of a face, basically like a business card with someone picture on it. The one that says WHITE COLLAR, is the exact type of color theme I am using for my website and overall look. And I may or may not do my business card with a picture of me just like those two pictures.

Just google "Ellusionist Magic" And scroll through google images. And if you want to get a feel of it in action, hop on youtube and type in "Derren Brown" he is a mind-reader, watch any of his videos and see his upscale, realistic style of magic and mind reading.

Lastly, this is only a test for me, if I see good results off of this first one, then I will have a lot of work for business card design, promo material, writing, web design, etc etc. But for now, for a single logo, and just testing it out, this is why my price is set to what it is. "DC2" Is one of my favorites.

I want to say thank you to everyone that has submitted an entry. There was some very good ideas there (and some not-so-good ones haha) Also, thank you to those of you who took the time to read through all my babbling and try to understand what it was that I was looking for.

I have narrowed down the choices, There are two in particular that are pretty much head to head. I wish that I could pick all the ones I liked and award you all as winners, but sadly, I can't.

I will be sitting down with my gf tomorrow to discuss which logo is going to work best for our needs, and will be selecting the winner sometime between 6pm - 10pm our time (United States, Pacific Standard Time - PST)

Hey guys! Some of the more recent entries are looking awesome! Definitely making some progress! Thank you all for the effort you have put into this.

Here is a very very good example of the brain design I kept talking about. Have fun with it. Just another example of what I like. Im sure someone can get creative with the lines inside of it and around it.

I am not a clean energy company that wants a nice corporate logo... I am an entertainer, I do crazy, astonishing, unbelievable things. Belive it or not type of stuff, Criss Angel, David Blane, David Copperfeild, I read minds, I control people, I can con people. I want my logo to RELAY THAT MESSAGE.

Here. Maybe this will help. I will make this as stright up as possible. IN this link you see a set of hands, Make your own cool hands. There is a cube floating above them, change the cube to the outline of a brain, inside the lines of the brain, have them shape into the letters DC. Or, Instead of a brain, Just do the hands with a DC logo VERY SIMILAR to "DC2" file attached, or something similar, that creates a basic round shape. that looks artistic and edgy.

There is really only one logo I like so far out of what has been submitted, so I figured I would change it up and let you guys try a little something else. The link to the picture of the hands is below:

  I am trying to have the logo, point out the fact that I do magic, or something to do with the mind, that doesn't look cheesy. I want it to look mysterious, astonishing, phycological, hypnotic, without being cluttered and sporadic.

See this's guys logo. His name is Looch. And he is known for something that has to do with something titled "infinity". So see how they took his name , and made an infinity logo out of the O's. That is another's great example. http://looch.co.uk/

Aside from what I just explained. The winner will be someone who can combine those letters into a cool shape or design, and have that design look like a top had, a coin, soemthing a magician would use. Like a DC that is merged together into the shape of a rabbit. - DO NOT do any of those I just mentioned. It was only an example. I want the shape that the DC creates to be something that says mind-reader / magician (without being the stereotypical rabbit, top hat, magic wand). I'd rather it be like a brain. I always imagined a picture of a head (A silhouette) with the top half of his heed missing and the letters DC on the top in the shape of s brain. - again just an example. But that shows what I mean when I say I went the letters to be merged together, into the shape of "something". And that something, is related to mind reading, magic, my profession / company image.

Try to shoot to make the D and the C merge together instead of being separate. How some logos you can read it both directions and it says the same thing. I don't want a D and C that are just pushed together. I want the DC to be merged together in a way we're combined they create "something". A circle, a design. Sor thing. (Reference to my attached file named "DC2". Notice it is not separate lettering. It's both letters that combine to make a cool shape.
