I started gen-why.com in 99 with a bunch of parody designs. Those designs became shirts and stickers. Alot of shirts and alot-alot of stickers. Each of my designs has a story and reason why they were birthed. Its time to redo(redux) them for the next generation.

Do you speak in logos?
Brands got your tongue?

Can you say things louder if you use similar visuals to garner attention? Do corporations abuse their branding? Can big corporations better use their dough then on grotesque marketing? Who is doing it right? What big ass corporation do you think is definitely doing things wrong? Could you make its logo components more useful. Perhaps to tell a message? Or just use a word with that color motif. Might not mean a thing. Until someone hands the story that goes with that word.
Is this code asked the crytographer? Is Big Brother listening? Hell yeah he is! ;) And he might be smart and funny...and appreciates some good eye candy. Or not. Who cares. Be nice Play on.

I did not know how this contest was meant to go, but I want to thank everyone for saying hello. Im gonna try and drop more pics of the early years of this goofy project. If you are still trying to find the big bucks in this specific contest you might want to move along. Their are clothing companies and product factories that make branded stuff. Clothing, footwear, everything. I live in South Florida. We only design stuff for small runs. Larger production would need to be found outside the US Mainland. Do you know this industry? Do they crank out the stuff?? ;)

Stickers don't have rights.....or do they? What about the people wearing shirts that say things others might not like? Is the shirt maker as guilty as the person wearing his design? What if wardrobe collided with haute couture then went sideways with a logo with..... That design that says #%$^!!! without saying #%$^!!! What's the first brand/logo/icon that you remember from your youth. Still here? If so, why?

The story of my project, www.gen-why.com and all the mechanations that go with it were a spontaneous outburst of creative process was really meant to be more subtle. The message though, had another idea.

The First Design I want to clean up is my REDNECK spoof of the NASCAR logo. Im leaving one of the .ai files from way back when so be ready. This design has had an amazing life. But it needs to be ready for the future.

I put star ratings on finalists into my final grouping. Hope that the ratings help you. I am new to the site. Really enjoyed all of the variations and ideas. Thanks.
