That is where hardware projects become expensive. I work with founders and small...A working prototype proves that something can work. It does not prove that it will survive the next hardware revision, pass through EVT cleanly, behave the same across multiple builds, or remain reliable once it leaves the bench. That is where hardware projects become expensive. I work with founders and small product teams to take embedded products from concept or working prototype toward a credible pre-EVT baseline. The objective is not simply to produce a schematic, route a PCB or make firmware compile. It is to remove as much uncertainty as practical before that uncertainty becomes another PCB spin, failed certification attempt, production delay or field problem. My work covers electronic architecture, schematic and PCB design, component selection, firmware, SMD prototype assembly, bring-up and validation. I maintain my own electronics lab, so I can build the resulting hardware, measure its behaviour and challenge assumptions before handing it back. My strongest area is connected and wireless hardware: IoT sensors and gateways, LoRa/LoRaWAN, LTE, BLE and Wi-Fi, together with low-power and battery-operated systems. I work across ESP32, nRF52, STM32 and other platforms, choosing the architecture around the product rather than forcing the product around a familiar development board. Typical work includes: 🔹 Converting development-board prototypes into purpose-built hardware 🔹 Finding power, RF, interface and reliability problems before EVT 🔹 Bringing up and debugging first PCB builds 🔹 Measuring power consumption and wireless performance 🔹 Integrating electronics with enclosures, connectors and wiring 🔹 Separating what has been proven from what is still assumed A board can pass ERC and DRC, boot correctly and still carry expensive problems forward. That is why I rarely treat “it works” as the end of the engineering question. I am probably not the right engineer if you simply need the cheapest route from a schematic to Gerber files. I am a better fit when the next revision needs to reduce uncertainty before more money is committed to tooling, certification, production or deployment.
