This is regarded as a “surface-cleaning” method. It is more of maintenance clean which takes a shorter time to dry – from half an hour to a couple of hours. Dry cleaning compounds are sprinkled all over the carpet to absorb dirt from the carpet fibers and crystallize. The vacuum cleaner handles the rest.

Bonnet Cleaning

Bonnet cleaning is almost similar to dry cleaning; the only difference is that a pad (or bonnet) is used to rub the carpet with the aim of transferring the dirt onto it. Once this is done, the carpet is vacuumed and left to dry.
