We took over the VMware server. The VM is 1.7 TB the hard drive is 2 TB. The VM only need to be 700GIG. Then we will have room to use VEEAM which needs sufficient space to take a Snapshot. There is no backup of the VM so we are concerned of doing the decrease without running the server. There is only one hard drive on the VM . The VM is Windows Server 2016. Be prepared that you are very confident in knowing if the VM can be decreased safely. As a precautiion we want the VM downloaded. Turning off the Server will only be able to be done from 5pm Eastern to 7AM eastern. Friday to Sunday the client is not in the office. After the VM decrease is done we need the engineer to stay on to make sure the VEEAM is running.

I installed a new free ESXi 6.7, and moved old disk from ESXi 5.1 as a second disk to the new ESXi 6.7 server. Using the web client, I can see the second disk, and all the partitions in it, but the datastore is not listed in the datastores. I have tried to rescan the storage, but this did not help. I want to be able to see the datastore from the second disk that was moved from the old server, so I can register the virtual machines from the old ESXi. The work will be done with a remote control session using ANYDESK utility. This should be very easy and quick task for the right person. Thanks
