There are many trees and choosing plants should keep that in mind that i don't get much sun because of the million big trees. Looking to do some redesign and landscaping of my backyard and potentially around my house. I would like to remove my deck, my brick elevated patio and my shed. Interested in cleaning up the area where the pool and deck were; part yard, a garden, and a seated area around heated table for evening. Also interested in adding a pool on the opposite side of the yard (where the shed is right now). Interested in ideas to spruce up overall. The yard is 550 inches (45.8 feet) wide, and from the house it is 288 inches (24 feet) deep on the left side and 433 inches (36 feet) deep on the right side. The paved area is 128 inches wide by 161 inches deep from the house. I will update the drawing later in CAD.

Building a new construction home and need ideas on how to utilize courtyard/backyard. Want to make it a really special place. Easy to keep clean, good spot for hosting many people (tables and standing room) and 1 hot tub). I do not want much grass as there is too much upkeep required. I would consider a small amount of grass/turf. Some string lights may be good as well as other things to make the space feel more warm and intimate. The home is contemporary.
