Hi, Stop motion for diamonds is a fun contradiction: the medium is handmade and a little imperfect, and the product is all about flawless sparkle. The trick is making the movement feel deliberate and graceful so it reads as luxury, not craft-fair. Slow, eased moves, no jitter, and shooting on twos or threes so it feels smooth but still visibly hand-animated. Diamonds are also the hard part to light. They go dead under flat light and blow out under harsh light, so I'd use small, controlled sources and flags to get real fire and sparkle on the facets, and shift a light a few millimeters between frames so the stones glint as they move. Backdrop-wise, I'm picturing deep velvet or dark stone with a soft gradient, maybe silk that ripples in or a ring rising out of a slow bloom of light. Honestly, this is the kind of ad I'd like to see made well. Also I'd definitely enable light and shadow caustics for this render. Shots are locked off on a rig, tethered and shot frame by frame at high resolution, with a macro lens for close details. Then I'd clean up rig marks and flicker in post, do a gentle grade, and add a soft sound bed so it feels finished.
