build apps for android. and I advise any Android newbie to avoid using Android Studio as their primary/learning IDE for now because they may unnecessarily run into some issues (waste time with the glitches). There are a lot of learning curves for deploying an efficient app correctly. I suggest practising on developing apps that are compatible with the earliest Android SDK's/phones so you can learn on how the SDK has changed over the years. Eclipse, the SDK manager and Stack Overflow are your first friends. It's all about experience with the platform. Have some fun playing around with OpenGL, Adobe Flash Builder and Unity3D to extend the platform.
