PHP PDO select from passed variable

I am passing variable to the next page with <a href="[login to view URL]<?php echo $my_number; ?>"> on the next page I want to display the contents of the mysql database and am trying to do so with something like this and having no luck. <?php try { $handler = new PDO('mysql:host=localhost;dbname=db', '', ''); $handler->setAttribute(PDO::ATTR_ERRMODE, PDO::ERRMODE_EXCEPTION); } catch(PDOException $e) { echo $e->getMessage(); die(); } $query = $handler->query("SELECT * FROM my_table WHERE my_number = :my_number "); $stmt = $handler->prepare($query); $stmt->bindParam(':my_number', PDO::PARAM_STR); $stmt->execute(); $results = $stmt->fetch(); ($result as $row){ } Then I am trying to display the my_table fields with on my page with: This is field one <?php echo $my_field1; ?> This is field two<?php echo $my_field2; ?> This is field three<?php echo $my_field3; ?> I do know know what my problem to day is but just some help to finish, Will pay as soon as script is working.
