Hi, - On a real-time interactive interface I built with WebSocket updates and drag-and-drop reordering, the real problem was exactly that, an incoming update from another user occasionally re-rendered the list while someone was mid-drag, snapping their item back to its old position and losing the reorder they were making. I fixed it by buffering incoming real-time updates during active user interactions (tracking an "interaction in progress" flag) and applying them right after the interaction completed instead of immediately, merging any conflicting changes rather than letting the server update blindly overwrite local state. - After that, users never lost an in-progress drag or form edit to an incoming update again, the interface felt stable and predictable even with frequent real-time pushes, and the underlying data stayed correctly synced once each interaction settled. I'm comfortable building this in vanilla ES6+ or React depending on what fits your existing stack best, with the client-side state handling above, form validation with inline feedback, lightweight caching before hitting the API, and unit tests wired into your existing automation suite where possible.
