We need someone to come in and set up a new API for us in AWS API Gateway. We would like you to do the following: - Set up API endpoints in AWS - Write Authentication code that creates a JWT that will be used by other endpoints - Create filters on endpoints to allow for additional authentication verifications - Advise on best practices for code management Notes: - If you must research the what AWS API Gateway is, you will not be a good candidate for this job. - Your code must be pristine, maintainable, and generic as possible. Documented well. No sloppy code, no misspelled variable names please. - Prefer US based. Approach: - In your interview, you must provide examples of previous work, specifically utilizing AWS API Gateway design. - Your first implementation will be heavily scrutinized before further work will be approved.

It seems that you want to use API Gateway just to pass through and limit requests. As one of your requirements is "Advise on best practices", I'd recomment reviewing your use case to evaluate authentication needs, as there can be several aproachs depending on API GW Clients and targets that are behind the API GW. I'm a Amazon Solutions Architect Professional and was responsible to achive the Amazon API Gateway Service Delivery Program certification in my daily job company.

Hi, I have built something like this before. I had used API gateway and FARGATE. I used lambda as middleware to take care of the authentication part for this. I might be able to help you with this project.
