Otherwise a two-hour task at 100% counts as much as a three-week one, and the projected finish date drifts. The own-task-only rule also belongs in the API, not just in hidden buttons. I'd build it in React Native with a Node/TypeScript backend, keep photos in private storage, and send push and email on reassignments, slipped deadlines and new comments.
