I build race/street cars and am seeking someone that specializes in Arduino, Raspberry Pi or a similar product to control and monitor the position of one (possibly 2) linear actuator/s. The position monitoring of the actuator will be analog 0-5V, however I would like for that actuator range to be user programmable as a range from 0-100%. I need for the Arduino/Raspberry Pi board to accept a frequency input that will has a range from 0-100kHz and have an end-user programmable resulting motor position, for example: 0Hz will be the bottom or top position of the actuator, at the end of its range. The feedback from the position sensor will be either at the top or bottom of the 0-5VDC range, so in this example I'll use the bottom with a voltage of .43VDC. I would like a table for the user to be able to use a PC to enter frequency values in the top of 16 columns and then a target position (0-100%) in each of the intersecting row positions. The user would only be allowed to enter incrementally higher position target values in each consecutive higher frequency column. So again, 0Hz=.43v, column 2, 750Hz=1.13v, column 3, 1500Hz=1.75v, Column 4, 2500Hz=2.08v and so on. I would want it to default or have a home position at the first column value when activated but I believe based on the design, it will always end up at home because the incoming frequency might be supplied by a hall effect sensor that's monitoring the vehicle speed. I will also need to have a board using either a commercially available driver board or series of solid state relays. The final feature that I would like is to be able to send either a ground (low), 5 or 12V signal to the board to override all other functions and send the actuator to a user programmed position as quickly as possible.
I am good with taking care of the electrical side of the project. I need help with the Arduino/Raspberry Pi setup and programming and would like to end up with a turn-key package in the end. I am not under any significant time constraints on this. Although I don't expect it to take any experts much time to complete, I am patient and this can be a side project where it takes up to a couple months to complete. I simply require reasonable and timely communication. 24hrs is acceptable unless this is discussed and agreed to in advance. I don't mind if it's 48hrs but I want to know what I can expect from you in advance. I simply expect transparency and will offer the same from my end. This might end up turning into more projects in the future, but this is all for now.
