This is a biography of TED DUNCAN (1902-1976) music arranger/composer and inventor - his best known works are his Grammy Hall of Fame arrangement of Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS with Bing Crosby, the Ken Darby Singers and the John Scott Trotter Orchestra - the largest selling single of all time, and THE WORRY SONG with Gene Kelly and Jerry the Mouse from "Anchors Aweigh" (YouTube). He also invented the Mattel Music Box which helped launch Mattel toward dominance in toy manufacturing. He also invented the first self-contained talking device that could be used in toy manufacture as well as another music box, again for use in toys. All of his inventions were designed to be economical so that any child could own such a toy.
