ASP.NET Core Razor Pages - Configure Visual Studio with SASS compilation

Existing ASP.NET core project in GitHub.
SASS files included with the project.
Currently using .CSS from dist directory.
Need to be able to rebuild .CSS structure from SASS on change and save of SASS in Visual Studio.
Build of Visual Studio 2019 project will also rebuild SASS and output CSS.
Need to create new branch in GIT and modify build settings only.
*Important - No modifications should be made to ASP.NET controllers, views or structure. Only changes required to SASS compile should be made. For example: Grunt. Gulp, Visual Studio Build.
Any SASS files included, when modified and saved in Visual Studio, should recompile SASS and output to existing dist directory.
