I done this before. Here is how it works: I am using a modem. Each caller will be using 1 modem. So if you have 10 caller, you will need 10 modem. It's a cheap one. I will then use the program to detect the DTMF from all the 10 modem (you will need 10 COM port, though) -- and post it to your application. This is the easist one. If you want more practical but more $$, you can use Dialogic board. I have the program also for Dialogic board. Tell me if you are interested. No surprises from me. Thanks. Rila.

software depends on type of hardware you have. There are several ways: 1. You can buy multicart - it adds 8 COM ports to your PC, then you can connect 10 modems. Modems will internal (hardware) detect DTMF and software will fetch data from modems. 2. You can buy E1 PCI adapter. This card let your PC to process E1 stream (this stream contains 30 data chanels and 2 system chanels - so in this variant you can enhance your quiz system up to 30 callers). Actual delivery time depends on details of this project (technology, documentations, accessability of equipment for testing & debuging and so on)
