For my framework based on MS Visual C++ 6 and DirectX8 (init of Window, Dx8 and texture-blit function already written), I need a starscroller with several effects included. It is a particle-system which uses little particle-textures (not just dots). It should like you are travelling in space (particles move from center of screen) and it should have several presets with the perspective changing (e.g. you turn your viewpoint and see the stars from side scrolling by). There should be also something like a starburst, explosion of stars or objects after some defined time. As background-picture there should be a texture (something like space, galaxy, I can provide that).
I have a nice demo which shows what I want, there are also some nebulas or fog like structures which are easy to create. This (scene)demo has even a source code. Another example of a good starscroller is on the game [login to view URL] It has a free playable alpha demo, and it is a fast download.
I will provide you with a DOC whic describes all in detail.
Your own ideas to enhance this starscroller are very welcome. No external libraries as NET, SDL, OpenGL, DX9 etc should be used, I really must be able to compile it at the described settings: DirectX8.1 SDK, MS Visual C++6, running within my Graphics-Framework as sent. I add to the payment: credits in my program I will release later if the programmer wants that.
