I need an engineer to design structural trusses for a residential home roof with a moderate slope for the main house (6/12 pitch). The total area of the main house is 2040sqft (34'Wx60'L). I have design plans and need an engineer to give me a structurally sound option that I can preferably make myself. I am a professional carpenter and need an engineer's opinion on an exposed truss system that will support my roof while being a visually appealing exposed truss inside the house. I am trying to save as much money as possible so I need to know what size/shape trusses I need to make, or if necessary, what trusses I need to source. We would prefer a raised king-post truss if at all possible.
