I have several articles that need to move seamlessly between English and Arabic. The core of the assignment is precise, context-aware translation, and I’ve chosen “Translation” as the primary focus because I want every nuance carried across faithfully. Once each piece is in its target language, I also want it refined—hence my selection of “Proofreading and Copy Editing.” I expect a careful line-by-line review that fixes grammar, punctuation, and flow, ensuring the final copy reads as though it were originally written in that language. Source files arrive as Word docs (occasionally PDFs). You will: • Translate the text from Arabic to English or English to Arabic, depending on the file. • Proofread and copy-edit the translated version, removing awkward literal phrasing and tightening style. • Return two deliverables per article: the polished translation and a tracked-changes file that shows your edits. Accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and a natural tone are critical. Familiarity with MS Word’s track-changes and strong command of both Modern Standard Arabic and contemporary English are must-haves.
