Hi! On form extraction the damage is almost never in the fields that fail. It is in the ones that come through looking perfectly fine. Excel treats an ID like 00734 as a number and stores 734. A date written 03/04 is read as March or April depending on the machine locale, and both versions look correct in the cell. A dollar amount pasted as text sorts alphabetically, so 1000 lands before 9. That is what "numbers stay numbers" actually costs: each column gets a declared type, IDs and codes stay text so leading zeros survive, dates are parsed with the format fixed rather than guessed, and empty fields stay genuinely empty instead of getting a placeholder. I work in Python with pandas, and the note you asked for is the script itself plus a short read-me, so your next batch runs without me. The check is per file: record count against source, and every field that came out empty or off-type comes back to you as a list with filenames. Send two or three forms, including different form types, and I will return the workbook so you see the sheet split before deciding.
