The µLab is the enclosure that holds the mixing system and consists of a 10cm * 10cm * 10 cm box with 1.5-2 mm thick PC/PCE/ABS walls and a total weight of less than 1 kg.
A group of 8 transparent tubes (FST?) will contain liquids to be mixed (1A+1B-->1C, 2A+2B--> 2C, 3A+3B-->3C, 4A+4B-->4C). The solutions A and B will be separated
in their corresponding tube until the Start button is pressed then they will be mixed on an independent tube. The total volume of each mixed solution will be 100 ml (so 50 mL in
A system of micro-pumps empty the original tubes and pump the solution to mix into another tube. A temperature control system should oversee that the mixing temperature is 37 C (+/- 1C) and that such temperature will remain constant for some time after the mix is perform (so thermal wall should be added.
A data logger will be installed to record the activity inside the scientific payload box and its individual experiments.
A camera will be present to take pictures and videos of the mixing process.
The power is external to the uLab and provided through a USB port so such a port should be added to the drawings.
Structural analysis: A basic stress analysis should be done considering an applied force of 20 N on several part of the surface as well as changes in temperature in the
scale [0:+45] degree Celsius. The maximum deformation acceptable will be 2 mm (designs should be updated to fulfill this requirement). The structural material should be PC,
PCE or ABS.
The system will be completely automatic with a Start/Stop button so it should be added to the container box.
