#Robotics Fleet Technician – Spain == English version (Spanish below) == Hullbot is an Australian robotics company building autonomous robots that operate underwater on ship hulls, helping vessels reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Our technology is already deployed across Australia, the US and Mexico, we’re establishing operations in Canada, and we’re now expanding our field capability in Europe. We’re looking for someone based in Spain to deploy and operate our robots on real commercial vessels and become part of our growing global operations team. What you’ll do: - Deploy and recover autonomous marine robots on vessels - Work hands-on with the robots, including direct operation when required - Prepare equipment and ensure mission readiness - Monitor and support live robotic missions - Work alongside Hullbot’s remote operations / TeleOps teams - Produce Mission reports incl. photos and robot performance report - Perform field checks and basic troubleshooting - Work around ports, vessels and some seriously impressive ships - Help us establish and scale our European operations You’ll be trained properly. You do not need to already be a robotics expert. We have Hullbot resources established in Europe, which means you’ll get hands-on local training with our robots from the start, complemented by remote training and a structured onboarding program. Once you're trained, you won't be on your own. You'll have ongoing support from Spanish- and English-speaking Hullbot people around the world, backed by established operations across Australia, North America and Mexico. You'll be joining a global team learning every day how to deploy increasingly autonomous robotic systems at scale. Who are we looking for? Someone technical, hands-on, curious, dependable and excited by technology. Experience with robotics, drones, ROVs, marine operations, electronics, mechanics, engineering or technical field work is great, but attitude and practical ability matter just as much. You’ll need to: - Be based in Spain or Europe - Communicate comfortably in English - Be available for some night operations : ships don't work 9–5 - Be able to travel around Europe when missions require it. Hi, I’m Pablo. I’m based in Madrid, Spain, and currently work in product development, combining hands-on prototyping, electronics, mechanical work and problem-solving to develop and test new products and features. I genuinely love building things and working with hardware. I’m the kind of person who enjoys taking an idea, turning it into a prototype, testing it, finding what doesn’t work and improving it. I’ve always been especially interested in robotics and projects where electronics, mechanics and software come together. That’s why this role immediately caught my attention. Getting hands-on with autonomous robots, learning how to deploy and operate them, and troubleshooting them during real missions sounds like exactly the kind of challenge I would enjoy. I’m also particularly drawn to the marine side of the role I’d love the opportunity to work with technology connected to the sea, ships and real-world marine operations. I’m comfortable working in both English and Spanish, and I also have basic German skills. I’m available to travel around Europe and work night operations when required. I’d be very excited to learn more about the role and hopefully contribute to Hullbot’s expansion in Europe.
