In a water resources management with intake building planning, information is needed which indicates the amount of water that will enter or be taken into the building in a unit of time known as flow discharge. Information regarding the amount of river flow discharge helps in designing buildings by taking into account the amount of peak discharge (flood) required for the design of flood control buildings and also seen from the minimum discharge data required for water utilization, especially during the dry season. So that with the discharge data, water control, whether in excess or inadequate, can be calculated as an effort to reduce the impact of flooding during maximum discharge and drought or water deficit during the long dry season. Therefore, in this study, river discharge measurements were carried out to obtain information on the amount of water flowing in a river at a certain time. Direct discharge measurement is a measurement made using a device in the form of a current measuring device in the form of a float.
The resulting discharge can be calculated as soon as the measurement is complete. The results of the measurement are continued with the analysis of rain distribution, rain plan, Chi-Square test, water balance, flood discharge, and reliable discharge.
