My main duty as ten year ESOL tutor consisted of delivering classes to students of different ages and ability levels. I was responsible for designing my own lesson plans and schemes of work. Further I had taken the initiative to help standardise the courses and designed material that can be used across the department. Further, I was a personal tutor, and thus took responsibility to help maintain student’s motivation and attendance. I was also often involved in counselling the learners to help them through the course.
