I need transcripts made of approximately 5.5 hours of interviews conducted in English. Interviews are located in a dropbox folder that will be shared with you upon awarding the project. Please provide a quote with a charge per hour of recording - bids not on this basis will be ignored. You will be required to sign an NDA, and after completion of the project delete all files. Please include with your bid your full name, address and an email address for legal notices so that we can fill in the NDA. On awarding the project I will ask you to complete an initial transcription of an approximately 1 hour recording, which will be checked for accuracy and compliance with the project directions below. If this first hour is acceptable then we shall proceed to the the remaining 4.5 hours of recordings, if not the project shall be terminated and you shall be paid for the first hour. I also need completion within 1 week - 10% of the project value will be a separate milestone for timely delivery. The milestones will be 1: transcribed 1 hour of recording, 2: transcribed 5 hours of recording, and 3: completion of milestone 1 and 2 within 1 week. Particulars of recordings - Language: Australian English - Participants: Common interviewer (young female) + different interviewee in each file (5 total) Directions - Template document will be provided. - Each recording to be a separate document with file name "[RECORDING NUMBER]_Interview_Pt[PART NUMBER].doc" (eg [login to view URL]). - Document to start with file name as heading. Second line to be recording length. - At the start of each person speaking, start a new paragraph and label the interviewer as '1' and interviewee as '2' - Complete transcript required. No paraphrasing or rewording what was said, however gap words like 'umm' can be left out. No need to record pauses or sighs or other elements of the conversation. - Transcript to be taken using AUSTRALIAN ENGLISH (not US English) - Commonly used phrases can be referred to by their acronyms from the acronym list provided. - Where part of the recording is difficult to hear or a word is hard to decipher or spell, please highlight in yellow to indicate that it needs to be reviewed.

Hello Sir, I have fully understood the task to be done in this project, I have read each and every instruction and have fully understood what you need. I am confident I can deliver the best results. Relevant Skills and Experience Was the Secretary-General of a Committee for over a year, I was in-charge of writing the WEEKLY meeting minutes, Recordings would be 3-6hrs long and I would have 4 days to send the minutes. Proposed Milestones $16 AUD - Transcribed One Hour of Recording and General Charge per Hour of recording (@16$/hr) $56 AUD - The rest of the recording $8 AUD - Delivery of the Flawless task within a week (10% = 8$) The Committee I was part of, had over 15 people speaking, and I had to specify who spoke what everytime. Moreover, the minutes were sent within 4 days after the meeting, and sometimes some members would send in corrections and I would have to make the corrections a few hours after that. Primarily, I have very good listening skills and I type very fast too, You'll get a result with no mistakes and very early, that you'll be able to point out any mistakes you want to be corrected. I can promise the best final result. But obviously, if I have any issues or problems I will highlight Yellow the word as you've mentioned above and I will be always communicating with you. I thankfully also have a very good device. I can promise you to do my best and give you the best in this task. Relevant Skills and Experience I have been a transcriber for 15 years and have carried out some transcription projects via Freelancer, with good reviews. I am used to using Dropbox. I am used to Australian accents. Proposed Milestones $100 AUD - Transcribe one hour of a recorded interview I think Freelancer organises an NDA with name and address details. The Freelancer terms and conditions state that freelancers are not to provide these details to potential clients, so I wait to be advised about that.
