I am developing an excel file for my estimating. Within the same file I have multiple sheets. We will focus on the PRICING sheet and the CONTRACT Sheet. The Pricing sheet is a table. The table columns are filled with: our services, Pricing, Square foot entry, followed with several more columns breaking down material, labor and profit. It's very close to a proforma. THE PRICING SHEET I sent it locked so you can see I only want the yellow boxes to be used by my workers. The yellow box is to input numbers (ex 500 s/f , in the tile column and spits out a price ) If needed, You can simply unlock the sheet right click on pricing sheet unprotect What I am looking for is a formula to work when i add a number For Expample (500 s/f) I want the details "Tile floor work ... , along with the price, $2500) to appear on the CONTRACT sheet. AND on the CONTRACT Sheet ... I would like all line items directly under one another with no spaces saying "FALSE". I want it to look neat and clean for contract and details purposes.

You can use the VLOOKUP function in Excel to achieve your desired result. The VLOOKUP function returns a value from a specified range (your PRICING sheet) based on a matching criteria. Here's how you can set it up: On the CONTRACT sheet, add a column for the square footage input. In the cell under the square footage input, enter the following formula: =VLOOKUP(A2, PRICING!A:D, 2, TRUE) where A2 is the cell containing the square footage input, PRICING!A:D is the range of the PRICING sheet where the data is stored, 2 is the column number that contains the pricing details, and TRUE is to return an approximate match if an exact match is not found. Drag the formula down to fill the rest of the cells under the square footage input column. This will return the pricing details based on the square footage input on the CONTRACT sheet, and display it directly under the corresponding square footage.
