I have a table with bank transactions. I have a separate column for each of the following: date, entity name, bank account name, description, reference, debit, credit, amount, balance.
Where: debit: is the absolut value of the transaction if it is a withdraw.
Credit: is the value of the transaction if it is an inflow.
Amount: is a figure less than or greater than zero showing the transaction amount.
Balance: showing the outstanding bank balance in addition to the said transaction.
My question: how can I create a pivot table showing me the balance per month per entity without double counting. The double counting occurs with me because each transaction line have a new cumulative balance (in the Balance column).
