I am trying to create a spreadsheet that returns the minimum cross sectional area of a bolt for infinite fatigue life (in shear and axial load) and I am not convinced that my working is correct. I need someone to go through my maths and check for any mistakes I have made in rearranging to isolate the cross sectional area, and also check that my formulae are correct (I have been over it many times and can't see any problems with them but my answers are clearly wrong). Experience in doing infinite fatigue life calculations for bolts essential.
