I have created a Teachable course about learning to invest in equities (stocks) and need someone to help me promote it or at least get me started. I intend to deliver via "Teachable" or "Udemy" - not sure which one yet. I have the content however need to be able to see some other course on these platforms to get the feel of what people expect. What I need primarily is expertise and help with marketing the course. Can this be done via Facebook? If so, how effective is this? What is the conversion rate? I have lots of content for articles on a website however again, the content has not yet been published. Do I need to establish credibility with a website to sell the course(s) via Facebook. Do I need a Facebook page? I have heard lots of marketing tips from Teachable itself such as, that you need to market yourself face to face to build credibility however I need to know if it can be done mainly through online marketing? How? At what price? I need a credible assessment by someone on Freelancer to advise how to go about all this and how it can be done effectively and efficiently. I do not need a generic answer offering SEO services, HTML coding, etc. without a clear idea of how it relates to what I am trying to do. It is a course showing people how to invest in the stock market by empowering them with practical, easy-to-follow knowledge. It will include course notes, screencasts, videos and slides.

Teachable or Udemy: I will suggest you to go with Teachable as it gives you more control over the designing, branding and pricing of your course. Teachable gives you the option to choose a custom domain for your course. In fact Teachable is a course builder and Udemy is a marketplace to sell courses. You can set your own price on Teachable but on Udemy you can't. Udemy cuts 50% share of your revenue but Teachable cuts 10%. Marketing through facebook is a great idea and it is also very effective. But conversion rate of facebook ads is roughly 9-10%. There should be a facebook page dedicated to your course. Building a website is also a great option but there is no need to hurry as you can always reopen the enrollment of your course after six months or a year. and in that time, you can build your own authority website.
