# Finance & Operations Lead **Location:** [Ahmedabad/ indore / Hybrid / Remote] **Employment Type:** Full-Time ## About the Role We are looking for a **Finance & Operations Lead** to take ownership of the company's financial management and day-to-day business operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced, analytical, and highly organized professional who can build scalable financial and operational processes while working closely with the leadership team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable moving between **financial analysis, budgeting, cash-flow management, reporting, vendor management, and business operations** and will bring a strong sense of ownership and accountability. ## Key Responsibilities ### Finance & Financial Management * Own day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses, and reconciliations. * Manage cash flow, working capital, and short- and long-term financial planning. * Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. * Track revenue, expenses, margins, profitability, and key financial metrics. * Develop financial models and analysis to support business decisions. * Monitor receivables and payables and ensure timely collections and payments. * Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners. * Establish appropriate financial controls and processes. ### Business Operations * Own and improve core business processes across finance, administration, vendors, and internal operations. * Develop systems, workflows, and dashboards to improve operational visibility and efficiency. * Manage vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and procurement. * Track operational KPIs and provide regular reporting to leadership. * Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and ensure timely execution. * Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical improvements. * Support management with strategic analysis and special projects. ### Planning & Strategy * Partner with the leadership team on annual planning and budgeting. * Provide financial and operational insights to support strategic decisions. * Evaluate business performance against budgets and targets. * Build scenario models for growth, hiring, investments, and other major business decisions. * Help establish scalable processes as the company grows. ### Team & Process Leadership * Establish clear ownership, processes, and accountability across finance and operations. * Manage and mentor finance/operations staff and interns as the function grows. * Build a culture of accuracy, responsiveness, and continuous improvement. * Automate repetitive financial and operational processes wherever practical. ## Key Performance Indicators Success in this role will be measured by: * Accurate and timely monthly financial reporting. * Improved cash-flow visibility and collections. * Strong expense and budget management. * Timely vendor payments and contract management. * Improved operational efficiency and process automation. * Clear and actionable management reporting. * Reliable tracking of company KPIs. * Reduction of operational errors and delays. ## Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in **Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field**. * **2+ years of experience** in finance, accounting, business operations, FP&A, or a related role. * Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, cash flow, and financial analysis. * Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills. * Experience with accounting, ERP, CRM, or business management systems. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and take ownership. * Comfortable working in a **fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment**. ## Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in a **technology or SaaS company**. * Startup or high-growth company experience. * Experience building finance and operations processes from the ground up. * Familiarity with financial automation and business intelligence tools. * Experience managing external accounting, tax, legal, and other professional service providers. * Experience managing or mentoring junior finance/operations team members. ## What We Offer * High level of ownership and visibility with company leadership. * Opportunity to build and improve the company's finance and operations function. * Exposure to strategic business decisions and company growth. * Collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. * Competitive compensation and benefits. * Opportunity for significant career growth as the company scales. ### Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is **hands-on, commercially minded, and highly accountable**.
