Back to the Basics (B2TB) serves as a resource, advocate, expert and provider of quality coaching, mentoring and teaching. Back to the Basics aims to provide outreach and interruption services to help reduce gun violence and support Chicagoans who are high-risk to be perpetrators or victims of gun violence. It is designed to provide year-round opportunities in sports such as basketball, indoor fitness and other recreational sports to youth in the inner-city communities. Understanding the limited amount of resources for youth in inner-city Chicago as well as local schools, no fees are charged for participation for youths.
