My name is Ben-Jamin. I am co-owner of a theatre company based in Sydney, Australia We want to create a very sleek, modern, member based platform (app & website) for streaming pay per view (24hour rental) content almost like Netflix, Stan or more specifically- "ah-um" pornhubs’ new buisness model/format [login to view URL] has a template which is similar but doesn’t exactly resemble what we need (no way to rent/ pay per view or create a link to video that self-destructs 24hrs later) We dont want to sell videos..- We want to RENT them- NO DOWNLOADS. (We want to be "the world's first "online/ on demand" theatre company) We want to turn our current (sad looking) website () into an “Online theatre company” and the go-to commedia dell arte teaching/ performance resource for us to rent and (potentially) sell our general performances and educational videos/content through. We are also experimenting with shooting shows in theatres with a 4k camera in 360 degrees. So people can watch a “live” show with a V.R headset from home anytime. (But we stil have a few years for that) For now- I need someone to make me a "mini netflix" -"Fools in progress theatre company live theatre - on demand"- We would like memberships to be be free, quick and easy to set up. and rewarded with free 'tokens" which you can spend on videos and merchandise (and eventually buy more of) We would need to be able to easily add, delete, re-order, re-catagorise, re-name and re-price videos and Ideally, when someone rents a video from us- the link remains active for 24hrs for them to watch as they please from the same i.p address (so a teacher can’t rent a video on a general account and the email the link to 30 students for them all to watch). We plan to make it impossible to screenshot/ record with a camera (like netflix does by playing with the frame rate) Along with the “video store”/homepage section of the website - we would also like- 1)a free public access photo gallery- able to display gif, jpeg, mp4 & png formats 2)a shop to sell different "commedia dell arte things" through (like masks, slapsticks, costumes) AND our Our spreadshirt store embedded in the website - [login to view URL] -You can feel free to use any of the graphics from our SpreadShirt store on the website. 3)A guest book- (really its somewhere for us to post great quotes and reviews we recieve) 4)A booking enquiry page for the theatre company 5)a “friend of fools” page for people to donate to us and receive perks and stuff. 6) social media integration and SEO would love as many payment options as possible for people to buy more tokens on the site...with the option to easily add more should they emerge for both the videos and the shop (credit card, PayPal, apple pay, (pay through iTunes account on the app)) If you feel this is something you would be able to facilitate please feel free to send me a message. I have TONS of images/ logos/ graphics I can send you.. there should be VERY LITTLE TO NO graphic design required... Happy to continue to pay you for continued maintenance/ editing of the site into the future depending on cost.

Hey Ben, Your recruiter David reached out to me personally regarding the project. It seems interesting, as one of my development focuses is on membership portals. After reviewing the project description, I feel there's a few obstacles that need to be taken into consideration when planning this out. More or less, the membership functionality, micro-currency transactions & other requirements are pretty straight forward. The bigger concern would be the server-side architecture required to manage video content. It seems that there aren't any live streaming requirements, which is good - as that adds an additional layer of complexity when it comes to encoding, media server support, data transfer protocols & bitrate flow. But even with evergreen videos, we definitely would need to be conscientious of bandwidth usage and overall server resources, as well as file compression (obviously we want to stream at the highest resolution possible) and codec management. First thing, we'd probably need a Dedicated server or VPS at minimum. Basic shared hosting is not an option. Secondly, when it comes to codebase I'd suggest a scalable framework like Laravel, allowing the ability to implement an API which is required for future native mobile app support Ultimately any type of dedicated content streaming service is not going to be a small project. But if planned out correctly, I think we could really hit a homerun with this. Feel free to reach out with any questions. -Eddie
