I've successfully built Linux systems on another provider (DigitalOcean) which is running a Linux Ubuntu Distro using an Nginx Webserver and MySQL backend with .NET core websites as well as wordpress in the past.

I am working on AWS serverless architecture and Nodejs for building APIs and automated the whole process for infrastructure launch and deployment on single click using Cloud Formation service. Previously i have worked as a DevOps. As a DevOps engineer i have deployed and maintained many projects. As your website is behind nginx and using RDS. I will recomend to containerize using Docker the whole deployment process so that you will never going to face problem in deployment on new server.
