The Microcontroller tasks are split across two divisions: Drive the on/off of a Lamp in accordance to the "settings" which would be inputted on a coloured touch-display on the main device. The UI should be neat and clean. The heads up display from which user has to select settings(similar to a treadmill) should be touch coloured & sensitive. The lamp is to be activated remotely. The turn on/off/ kill-switch should be activated via a remote control. It should have its own display. The main lamp only turns on when the device is connected to the mains. The microcontroller also deals with the re-charging of the auxiliary battery which In itself provides charging facilities to small components say "x". (Similar to multiple charging docks). So whenever the device is connected to the mains, part of the mains charge goes to the auxiliary battery and part of it provides charge to the small components “x”. When the device is disconnected from the mains, the auxiliary battery takes over and then it only provides charge to the small components “x”. The second display shows the amount of charge left in the battery. These two sections would constitute the whole project.
