Improve existing photo gallery (long term)

Hello Freelancers I am looking for a professional Android developer to help me add new features to a photo gallery application, and fix up some outstanding issues. The app is already live in the Play Store. I have already written all of the image loading code, which works quite well. I am a professional Android developer by trade but I am busy on other projects, so I need help to get the remaining issues complete. Requirements: 1. Excellent knowledge of Android development & Android Studio & use of modules 2. Git/BitBucket and the ability to work on feature branches and use pull requests 3. Professional developer with good understanding of development best practices 4. Trustworthy, keeping the project details secret, writing good code, and understand I may contribute too Development process: 1. Each week or two weeks, I will set out a list of tasks for that are required to be completed. You will then provide a quote for the work. 2. Upon acceptance of the price you will develop features / fix bugs. 3. Upon completion commit code to BitBucket on the feature branch and send a pull request and also an APK 4. Once I am happy with the changes you will get paid immediately In order to build trust and because I want to make many releases over the next few months, I will split the work into small chunks, so you can also get paid regularly. I am not looking for a short term developer. I want to find an excellent developer, who I can trust to maintain the project and keep working with in the long term. In order to apply for the role: 1. Code is very important, I will need to review all code before I accept the project via pull request, so bear this in mind before applying 4. The project will be divided into small manageable features, please quote for this, I will not accept hourly rates for now. 5. Please tell me why I should choose you? There are many features to add over the coming weeks/months. Your first task is (this is to help fix some easy issues and so you can become familiar with the code base): 1. The default home screen is empty, user can choose the fragment via the sidebar,but we should automatically show one of the fragments, based on a setting. This requires adding a setting to the settings screen as well 2. Based on the chosen fragment on the main activity the title of the action bar should change. 3. Double tap back to exit (if fragment back stack has no children) 4. Empty message when there are no photos to show. 5. The navigation drawer sometimes gets stuck to the side when pulling outwards (easy) 6. The background of some of the list items, becomes highlighted if the user presses it, make this transparent. 7. Demo mode: Create an “demo” build flavour, in this build flavour instead of showing the usual albums/photos from the content provider, the app will load some images from hardcoded URIs in a strings file. This is to help us generate screenshots for the play store from a) albums view b) photos view. This task should only take a few hours and will really help you understand the code. I know the first task it difficult to make an estimate, but bid wisely, because once I accept you, I want you as a long term partner, and you will be able to make better estimates for future requirements.
