Hi there, I would suggest you to use Python Image Processing to Count the inventory if the items are clearly visible, we can easily count the items and take the data to Arduino. If items in each rack are same type we can use Load-Cell and count inventory based on weight of each pieces. With more information I can provide you the best solution for your project.
