Hi, MySQL is usually the bottlenec on each hevy load web app, so seeing it at 300-400% cpu load is not news (you actually have to divide that with the number of cores to get the real CPU load), seeing 1000% means there's something very wrong. Either a bad setup, a stuck process or you have extremely high load on your site (wthich for what I've seen so far, sincerely doubt unless you're under attack). Anyhow, SSH access and a few hours would be needed for this to get resolves. Bests, Istvan

Hi, I had similar experience in my past. CPU hikes 100% only if continuous quires are in process. this can be reduced by table caching and other database optimizing process. For that, first we need to monitor the server continuously and parameters should be changed accordingly to attain better performance. The screen shot which you provided dint state the problem deeply. I worked on mysql database for 5 years installing , administrate ,troubleshoot and tuning . I have ability to list all running quires and get execution plan for the query also log slow query and identify the worst query .
