I am seeking a professional network engineer to analyze a PCAP log I have here to try and explain we have a loss-of-connection situation for a network device.
Expert knowledge of TCP, IP, ARP, TLS, and 802.11 PHY will be required.
I have a device that runs an embedded WLAN stack, connecting to a commercial wifi network.
An unexplained, reproducible case is encountered wherein the device experiences a loss of ability to operate on the IP network, but not a loss of association with the WiFi AP.
This device operates well on consumer & domestic WiFi, but more commonly fails on office & commercial networks. The device itself only supports 2.4Ghz wifi operation, so 2.4/5Ghz handoff and other issues in the 802.11 PHY are suspect.
A wireshark capture of network traffic from a notebook associated with the same AP has been taken and will be provided as the subject matter.
Deliverables will be:
- A list of useful filters to apply to this PCAP and future captures for debugging this case
- A brief writeup of the observed transactions that the devices does make
- Suggested follow-up actions for additional captures that would/could be useful
- Proposal of theories for a root cause, if no "smoking gun" is found.
- A bonus is to be paid if a root cause is found and fully explained with a post-mortem/technical brief
Ongoing contracts for internet protocol/IoT analysis will be available.
Hello Dear,
I am a professional network engineer and I am working at internet service provider. I have Cisco CCNP certificate and I have great hands-on traffic analysis especially wireless traffic.
Thanks to check my profile and let me know if you are interested.

Hi,
My name is Bilal, I am a Network Specialist and Consultant for the past 8 years with experience of designing, implementing, migrating and troubleshooting various types of network (Enterprise, Telco, ISPs).
I just read your project description and shall be able to provide you with all the support required to fulfill your project and analyze the Wireshark captured file for your concerned issues. It would also be helpful if you could explain to me about the hardware and protocols you are using across the network to have a more deeper inside of what we are looking at.
Feel free to contact me. :)

Hi,
I have very good experience of networking protocols you mentioned such as TCP/IP, ARP, TLS and 802.11 wifi. I also have networking research experience. I will work on your Wireshark trace file (PCAP) and will try to figure the root cause of the loss-of-connection issue your device facing.
Regards
Good day!
I can review and analyze your PCAP files confidently and quickly because I am a certified network engineer (MTCTCE/MTCNA) having over 10 years of experience in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting of enterprise network devices (routers, switches and access points).
Also, I have a lot of experience with Wireshark and tcpdump, so I think I can find the cause of losses.
Based on your issue, First of all we should talk tgether regarding the networking topology to make me understand about it.
Sometimes, small things matters and make huge difference in overall results. so, to be on the same page. if you accept my offer we can start right away.
I am MikroTik and UBNT trainer and also have CCNP certificates (Just want to brag about my self ;-) )
Regards,
I worked as a professional Software Developer for a telecommunication company. I had many support cases with direction losses, read a lot of pcap traces and provided many solutions to happy customers.
Also I have a CCNA and therefore a profound knowledge of TCP/IP-Protocols and Networking in general.
If you are interested, feel free to leave me a notice.
