HP Switch Stack, Layer2 replacement HP 8206zl issues

I have a customer with 2 x HP 8206zl Switch Stacks, one at each data center. There are 2 network links between the two locations, one using a Routed "WAN" connection and one using a Layer 2 connection. We were looking to replace the layer 2 connection with a new layer 2 connection from a different provider, but this did not provide the expected results. I am looking for someone to review and identify what the issues are with the configuration and work with me to resolve the issues. Please note, I am after a resource that has a good understanding of HP Chassis switches, as well as understanding the difference between layer2 direct connects and routed links.
