Odoo 15 POS integration with electric weighing scale via RS232 interface

Job Description:
We are looking for a solution to integrate standard electronic weighing scale via rs232 interface into Odoo POS, the idea is
1) Read weight from rs232 interface, this may need be a standalone software to capture that as not sure if it's possible to capture that in Odoo POS directly running in a browser.
2) Once the weight is received on RS232 interface, pass on to Odoo POS by a shortcut key or publish directly into Odoo POS screen via a web API.
