Multimedia Application

I need an application that will use all available sound inputs in the PC and offer an option to stream sound captured from the inputs to the shoutcast server using aac plus (HA-AAC) encoding. For stream encoding LGPL implementation should be used to minimize license cost ([login to view URL]) ## Deliverables Several requirements as notes here: - I have the framework for capturing and streaming audio that works with mp3, but isn't fully tested, it'll be available on demand - if you can make it work as a service, that is a big plus (I'll explain what is the problem about it below) - application should have UI that enables the operator to enter publishing point options as well as encoder options - every stream once started should operate continuously 24/7 - if connection gets broken, streaming should try to reconnect ASAP - UI should enable user to enter new stream without disturbing operation of others - I have 3 shoucast servers available for preliminary testing - application should save it's state so in case of emergency shutdown it can resume the operation as was before shutdown - some kind of metadata insertion should be provided. it may range from simple file that is dropped on every change to designated directory to mini http server that will receive stream metadata information - in release, minimum 8 channels must be possible for DualCore 2.4 processor to handle - clean architecture with option of later replacing encoder will be greatly valued Service problem (please ignore this if you didn't have any experience with such stuff) I have some 10 years of experience working with waveIn/waveOut api on windows, and during my experience I tried to make a service that would do something similar to the thing asked above. Problem was that when service runs, no actuall Window Station is attached and waveIn/waveOut devices are in undefined state. One other issue is about when user gets connected via Terminal Services, devices get redirected and whole thing breaks up. Any solution for that (if possible) will be valued more.
