We are seeking to build a web-based program that allows users to easily create a graphically enhanced (i.e., brochure-like document) business plan. Specifically, the user would enter in the contents of their business plan into the online interface and choose which template they would like to apply. The program would then create a PDF version of their graphically enhanced business plan. If you are unfamiliar with the contents/structure of a business plan, a sample business plan can be found here: [login to view URL] Database: a database needs to be built which allows users to register (password/login). The database would collect the required business plan fields (e.g., company name, executive summary, company summary, etc.). The database fields data entry sections should have an HTML WYSIWIG editor so that the user could bold or italicize certain words for example. Users must be able to customize the names of fields. There must be the ability to enter images in the database. For instance, if the user wants to input a graph, chart or photo and explain it in the text, they must be able to do so. Templates: 10 graphically enhanced business plan templates would need to be developed. The templates should have different color designs and stock photographs. The user would need to be able to enter all of their business plan information into the database, select which template they want to use, and then have their document be generated. There should be an option to switch the stock photographs in the template files with their own images and/or the ability to upload their own company logo for use in the plan. We would like the output to be a PDF version of their business plan. Initially, the PDF file should have a watermark on it. Upon the user paying us, we should be able to remove the watermark. The user should be able to go back to the database to make changes to the business plan and then re-generate the PDF document as needed.
