Ready SW package needs to add some extra features.
PLEASE DON'T SEND MARKETING MESSAGES. WE WILL RESPOND ONLY TO THE TECHNICALLY SOUND PROPOSALS.
This project is the 1st step in the path. We have the goal to create own package, which will be much wider than just Auction. We will purchase the Auction SW and would like to start from use of this package and create first site. During this 1st project you have to establish the knowledge base and create working auction web site.
No need in fansy designs, but will be the need in enchancements (cosmetic and global).

Main features to be added or expanded:
1. USA CC Payment Gateway MUST be added instead of the existing one.
2. Enchance additional sales types:
a. "Make an Offer" Auction with bid acceptance procedure. Seller offers the item without price.
c. "Catalog". Same as above, but with "Catalog" attribute.
d. "Mall". Dutch Auction with Starting Price = BIN Price
All listings of such type could be shown as separate views (sections).
3. Other features
a. Communicator. Expand current "Ask Seller a Question" feature by saving of all communications &
sending attachments. Users should be able to monitor and review their communications.
b. Use current Watch List feature to the Wish List view, which will combine multiple Buyer's Watch Lists.
c. Expand "Other Items from this Seller" to the Store Looking View.
4. Item submission might need some changes and adding of fields.
5. Dynamic bidding and statistic features.
6. Escrow feature.
7. Cosmetic Design Changes.
We do not expect all features to be launched immediately. Some features could be implemented on the later stage, but we have to agree very clear about such details. That's why we do not expect you to hurry up with the bid or with your marketing information, which we hate to read. We would prefer you to make detailed technical break-down of the features described. Please explain how will you implement every additional feature? Your examples of the similar features implemented on the previous projects will be great. So, please send us your step-by-step implementation plan with the details. Please give the estimate (time/$$) to every feature to be added.
If you need help with the certain features, please let us know and we will give you the access to the testing environment.
OUR CRITERIA OF CHOICE OF PROGRAMMER:
We prefer someone with the business attitude rather than per-per-hour mentality.
Dear programmers, who used to push your own "sientific, custom and the only possible solutions" to the brainless clients. This package cost less than $200. Please don't try to sell to us your "nuclear solution" for 10 times larger amount. We don't buy it as well as don't "buy" the marketing information about "60 developers in multiple offices in Pakistan". We need someone smart and knowledgable to make this and many other projects.
You have much higher chances to become a winner if you will put security deposit to escrow.
Repeating our critiria in selection of the programmer:
We need to see that you have the experience in similar projects and familiar with similar SW. There is no other way to assure it if you don't provide technical details. We have to see that you have the technical experise in particular area and will not drop this on the middle.
DELIVERABLES:
All work MUST be done in our environment. NO exceptions!
Communication: 2 times per day. We will black-box-test every delivered function, so don't include the cost of testing in your estimate.
We have to agree with all features/functions/detail to be implemented on this project before one single line of code is written.
Full amount will be released from escrow only when whole project will be finished. No partial work will be accepted or paid. By making a bid for this project you are accepting the condition that any unfinished work with any undelivered function/feature should be considered as zero % accomplishment and will not be compensated if the programmer fails to deliver it.
All deliverables (full or partial) will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. We will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. By making an offer Programmer (contractor) confirms that he is not using any GPL, GNU or 3rd party codes unless agreed otherwise.
