Apache install script in Perl

Not enough room in the description field...see the deliverable field. ## Deliverables Looking for Perl script(s) to install/uninstall Apache and mod_perl on Windows and Linux Install/Uninstall ----------------- I have already created a simple Perl install script for my program, but I would like to also install the Web server. Since my program runs on Windows and Linux I am thinking that using Apache on both will simplify many things. The installation environment will have a Perl interpreter available… ***** I have made the assumption that if you build the Windows version of Apache from source, you install it the same way as you do Linux. If this is wrong, I need to rethink my options… ***** So, what I am looking for is the following: 1) Install script (Perl) to install the latest Apache and mod_perl on Windows and Linux a. For Linux, it is OK to follow the standard untar/compile/install procedure… b. For Windows, I was thinking that Apache would have to be compiled first, then a tar or zip file created so that it could be installed similarly to how the Linux version is installed. (I don't need the Windows compile process automated) 2) Uninstall script (Perl) to stop and uninstall Apache and mod_perl on Windows and Linux Here are some requirements of the install scripts: 1) The script should be smart enough to test if there is already a Web server listening to port 80 and require the user to choose another port or tell them to permanently stop the other Web server before continuing. 2) At the top of the Perl program, it should have a list of options that the user can change: $cfg = [ [’Enter HTTP port: ’,’default_port’,’80’], ]; 3) Then the program would prompt the user: >Enter HTTP port: 80_ 4) And make the changes to the appropriate configuration files (both Apache & mod_perl). 5) I then want mod_perl installed. 6) Finally, Apache and mod_perl should be started. REQUIRED DELIVERABLES: 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows and Linux
