I have a web site that contains XML documents.? I generate print versions of these XML documents by applying XSLT to the XML and rendering a .pdf version of the report with SQL Server Reporting Services 2005.? This report works now but the only way I currently know to run the report is URL integration into an application that uses Forms Authentication.? So the reports are rendered by a user clicking a URL.
I need to create a SQL Server Integration Services package that will perform three primary functions:
1.? Retrieve summary data from a data base for specific XML documents.? For example, retrieve the author, ID, and date for all XML documents created today.
2.? Call the reporting services web service to run the report that renders the XML into .pdf.? Save the report with a name that combines the summary data collected in step 1.? (eg [url removed, login to view]).
3.? Submit the .pdf to an eFax web service so that the .pdf can be faxed to a specific phone number collected in step 1.
I have an installation of the SQL Server Reporting Services web service that can be used for development purposes.? This instance includes the report that will render the XML into a report.? I can provide a backup of a data base that contains the summary data.
If you’re interested in bidding on this project, please outline your experience with SSRS and SSIS.? Please also outline your approach (for example, will you use a web service task or write a script to do all the web service calls).
I have attached a description from
[[url removed, login to view]] on how to send a .pdf to eFax.? Please review this information as I don't think a simple SSIS web service task is going to work as the mechanism to send eFAX a document to fax.?

I added a zip file to the bid request that outlines the approach to submitting a .pdf to the [url removed, login to view] fax service. Its not as simple as I first thought. So please review this document to see if you need to modify your bid. And if you don't think the efax step can be accomplished with an SSIS script task (or something else in SSIS), please let me know if you still want to include that step in your bid.
