I want to store HTTP_REFERER in cookie and write to database

I have a OSC shop. I want to store the refferal URL inside a cookie - Then if the user COMPLETE an order, have the url retreived and writtin to the users order table in the database.
I can then retreive the url and show it on my order screen for each order.
This is a very simple thing and shouldnt take more than 20 minutes, but I do not know enough of php to write the correct syntax. So please bid cheap. :)
