PRICE COMPARISON TRAVEL WEBSITE (HOTELS, FLIGHTS & MORE)

We need a full-featured price comparison travel website. It must have all the features of [login to view URL] (organized in a completely different way, of course) with a few changes. The site must be fast, SEO friendly, built in PHP / MYSQL with a web 2.0 look. It will consolidate a lot of search results from each reservation company (for example [login to view URL]) into one easy-to-use result set for our customers who will then click through the appropriate affiliate link to the reservation company (if needed we will support to register into affiliate sites to get the APIs). You can check [login to view URL] for an example. The way the results are displayed should be similar to [login to view URL] as well. Each hotel, apartment, etc. must have its webpage. We must be able to easily a) translate the entire website into various languages, b) manage different currencies and c) add new pages to the website. The website will have a unique search method that will be disclosed and discussed with the chosen freelancer. An area of the website will consist of a large (Google) map with all the hotels, apartments, etc. in the database, complete with search options. The map must have custom markers and clustering to easily handle a large amount of markers (see [login to view URL] for an example). Every hotel page must have its (smaller) map as well. Another large map will be dedicated to flight destinations. We need an admin area to manage the reservation companies and every single travel facility (hotels, airports, etc.) and the possibility to add/remove them one at a time or as a result of common (eg. remove all the hotels of France/all the two-stars hotels/ all the structures without internet access / … ) and more specific (eg. remove all the hotels below 1000 mt. of altitude) filters. We must be able to manually add a single item (hotel, apartment, flight, travel deal, etc.) to the database with pre-defined and user-defined fields. The hoteliers/renters should have the possibility to add/modify the photos, description and availability of their facilities. The users of the website should be able to register to the website and create ‘alerts’ about specific deals. The layout must be neat, without pop-ups and with clean, non-intrusive Adsense/Banners/Social Networks elements. We want a complete and realistic step-by-step work plan with deadlines. Payments will be made as milestones are reached. We want the chosen freelancer to focus 100% on the project and do a very good work. A long-term commitment is possible as soon as we’ll need a maintainer and bug-checker for the website. If the freelancer has some good ideas to develop the project we are open to suggestions. Excellent communication skills are required. We will discuss (via Skype or similar) every phase of the project before and after introducing them. At least a brief report every three days is needed.
