Sharepoint list - Make filter choices be always visible.

I have a standard Sharepoint List View web part. I want the filter choices to be always visible. The web part is not a XSLT Data View. It is in standard view, not datasheet view. Current situation: In a List View Web part, in standard view, there is a button called Filter. When that is clicked, it shows filter choices as drop-down boxes above the columns. When a filter is chosen, the drop-down boxes disappear. Desired change: I want the filter choice drop-down boxes to always be visible. When the web part opens, they will be visible. After a filter choice is made, they will still be visible. >>Important: << The site is hosted on a server that I do not have access to. That means that I can’t use a custom web part.
