Seeking immediate help with back-end coding for some web design jobs. Please provide separate estimates for items 1, 2, and 3. 1) Shopping cart/database for a small e-commerce site. Database will start with about 40 products, in 3-5 categories (such as books, prints, posters). Client must be able to add new products themselves. The way the products are displayed must conform to designer's HTML & CSS site specs. Designer has not set up an e-biz site before, and needs assistance and education on the various aspects of it. This bid request includes a word document outlining features the client wants. It might be less expensive for client to use a PayPal merchant account vs their own SSL. I'm not sure what is the best method, and would value the coder’s opinion. 2) The client wants to set up an "affiliate" program that other vendors can join. If someone buys something by following a link from the affiliate's site to client's site, the affiliate gets a cut of the sale. I know there are two options here: for a third-party to manage it, or for the client to manage it himself. Please advise about the differences, and if possible recommend third parties who manage affiliate programs. Both the client and the affiliate vendors want to be able to track sales, and distribution of income. 3) For another site, the client wants areas on the site where they can easily input data themselves. There are likely two instances where this will happen: a) uploading photos with descriptions, and b) uploading links to press articles. The client has minimal computer knowledge, such as use of Word. I want them to be able to manage (via admin panel?) the data they upload (adding and deleting items). Any text & links input by client must conform to designer's CSS & HTML formatting. Client must not have the ability to mess with any of the overall layout.
